APPA members:

Last meeting was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We had a nice turn out. We discussed many things such as how to acquire more members and the new elected officals. We have a current membership around 80 members.

Carolyn Pugh did not atted the House of Delegate (HOD) this year.

APPA acknowledges the work of Ellen Rath of AAPA.

APPA name was changed to Physician Assistnats in Psychiatry (PAP) which should help with obtaining C-6 non-profit status.

The newly elected officails for the PAP are as follow:

• Don St. John - President
• Catherine Judd - President-Elect
• Jeffery Alper - Secretary/Treasurer
• Jeffery Schwarz and Wayne Berry - Directors-At-Large
• Jay Somers - House of Delegates Representative

Members are encouraged to consider authoring articles for JAAPA on mental health issues. Jeffery Schwarz and Wayne Berry volunteered to develop an information pamphlet on APPA. Documents can be archived free of charge through AAPA. Don St.John will oversee re-charting, which is due in 2008. Jeffery Schwarz will develop a new logo.
